Broadheart announce debut album What Enormous Things Have Happened, share “Seedy”

St. Louis emo and melodic hardcore five-piece Broadheart have announced their debut album, What Enormous Things Have Happened, arriving October 30, 2026 via Sweet Cheetah Records. The 12-song record will be available digitally and on cassette and CD.

Featured single “Seedy” pairs clean, arpeggiated guitar work with an infectious melodic pull, bringing together echoes of early Jimmy Eat World and Seaweed in a sound that should also appeal to fans of Basement and Koyo. Elsewhere on the album, “1000X” and “Regret” combine thick guitars and pop-leaning hooks with vocals that move between raspy urgency and a more tender croon—an approach that sits comfortably alongside Fiddlehead, Basement and Koyo. Other singles released so far include “Adamantine,” “Sequoia,” “1000X” and “Low Tide.” All five songs can be streamed below via the Low Tide EP on Spotify.

Broadheart began when David Shanle of Squint, Still and Like Heaven shared instrumental demos with Bradley Jokerst of The Disappeared. Gabe Usery handled production and drums, with additional guitar and bass contributions from members of Petty Grievances and Portraits & Landscapes.

“From the second I started singing to his riffs, it just felt perfect,” Jokerst says. “I feel more attached to these songs than just about anything I’ve ever written.”

The album explores the fear of losing what matters most, pairing introspective lyrics with melody and urgency. Broadheart will play a record release show November 13 at Moshmellow in St. Louis with Future Nots and Odd Spaces.
