Deer Leap are an emo band from Windham, New Hampshire, formed in 2009. The current lineup is Chet Morrison on bass, Dustin Sciacca on drums, Keith Galvin on guitar, vocals and keys, and Matt Hunter on guitar and vocals.
The band emerged from the fourth-wave emo / indie-emo revival era, pairing melodic, emotionally direct songwriting with the spacious dynamics and guitar interplay associated with emo, indie rock and post-rock. Their sound should land naturally with fans of bands such as The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, Prawn, Moving Mountains, Dowsing, Joie De Vivre, Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), Sunny Day Real Estate, and the like.

Home. in 2012. They returned with Impermanence in 2016, then released the Wind & Words EP in 2017 and Bedroom Sessions: Volume 1 in 2018. A standalone single, “Left Behind,” arrived in December 2023.
In 2026, Deer Leap returned with Routines, their first new full-length in roughly a decade.
