Eastern Bleeds
Eastern Bleeds is an indie rock band that channels the sound of bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Twilight Singers and Hot Snakes. The band was formed by drummer Bob Penn after his previous bands The Jealous Sound and Racquet Club went on hiatus. Penn enlisted the help of a few friends -- guitarist Joe Rivera (Coco B’s, Black Swan Runners), singer Bill Kielty (O Zorn!, Who Rides the Tiger) and bassist Trent Steinbrugge (The Kite Eating Tree) -- to bring the project to life.

August 12, 2025Los Angeles indie rock band Eastern Bleeds released its debut album "Lake Huron" via Ashtray Monument on August 12, 2025, drawing influence from bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, The Twilight Singers and Hot Snakes. Formed by drummer Bob Penn (The Jealous Sound, Racquet Club), the band's journey from demos to a full-fledged album included the addition of guitarist Joe Rivera, singer Bill Kielty, and bassist Trent Steinbrugge, resulting in a project that captures atmospheric indie rock with elements of noise pop, psychedelia, new wave, post-punk and emo.
