Interpol Share New Single “Iron City” From Forthcoming LP This Mirror Weighs a Ton

Interpol have shared “Iron City,” the latest single from their forthcoming album This Mirror Weighs a Ton, out August 28 via Partisan Records.

The track follows “This Mirror Weighs a Ton” and “See Out Loud,” offering another preview of the New York band’s eighth studio album and their first full-length since 2022’s The Other Side of Make-Believe. The new single keeps the band’s familiar hazy and dreamy post-punk tension intact while pointing toward the expanded production and darker atmosphere surrounding the upcoming record.

This Mirror Weighs a Ton was produced by Andrew Wyatt and mixed by David Fridmann, with the band recording in Manhattan for the first time in more than a decade. Listen to “Iron City” below.
