Hailing from Gippsland in regional Victoria, Ocean Sleeper have built their name on a forceful mix of modern metalcore, emotionally direct songwriting and arena-sized melody. Since forming in 2015, the Australian four-piece have developed a loyal following across Australia, the United States and Europe through relentless touring and a fiercely self-sufficient approach.
The band released their debut album Don't Leave Me This Way in 2019, followed by the Is It Better Feeling Nothing and Maybe Death Is All I Need EPs. Along the way, they have toured with Parkway Drive, Polaris, Northlane, The Butterfly Effect, We Came As Romans, Thy Art Is Murder and Caskets.
Ocean Sleeper's sophomore album, Peace When I'm Dead, is due August 21, 2026 via BMG Australia and Rise Records. Written and recorded in clean vocalist and guitarist Ionei Heckenberg's Melbourne home studio, the record confronts inner turmoil, depression and the ongoing struggle to live with the darker parts of the human experience.
