New York City shoegaze and indie rock band The Still Out pair layered, angular guitars with soaring melodies and post-punk dynamics. Formed by producers Josh Stoddard and Arjun “Arj” Agerwala, the band returns in 2026 with a newly remastered and expanded edition of Crystallized.
New York City shoegaze/indie rock band The Still Out will release a newly remastered and expanded edition of their debut album Crystallized on August 21.
Originally released in 2009 before resurfacing on Spotify in 2018, Crystallized gets a fresh remaster from Greg Calbi and Steve Fallone and brings the band’s blend of shoegaze, alternative rock and post-punk back into focus. The expanded edition also features appearances from Adam Franklin (Swervedriver), Jody Porter (Fountains of Wayne), Claude Coleman, Jr. (Ween) and Mikey Jones (The Lemonheads, Swervedriver, LSD and the Search for God).
The reissue serves as both a renewed introduction to an album that largely flew under the radar the first time around and a tribute to co-founder Josh Stoddard, who passed away in 2021.
