TIDES are a Jacksonville, Florida punk band formed in late 2023 by longtime Northeast Florida scene veterans Sean Slater, Beau Crum, Alex Van Auken, Chris Jones and Dan Wagler. Slater and Crum had spent more than 25 years crossing paths and sharing stages in different bands before the five-piece finally came together.
The band describes its sound as gravel-coated post-hardcore punk, with melodic punk roots that sit comfortably alongside Touché Amoré, Fiddlehead, Iron Chic, The Flatliners, Hot Water Music, Samiam and Ways Away. Since forming, TIDES have shared stages with Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music, Subhumans, New Junk City, The Iron Roses, The Raging Nathans, Spares and Tiltwheel.
TIDES first appeared on a split 12-inch with Golf War before returning to the studio in winter 2025 to make their debut full-length, How To Survive A Fall. Recorded and mixed by Paul Lapinski and mastered at the Blasting Room, the album arrives September 15, 2026 through A.D.D. Records in the U.S. and Little Rocket Records in Europe.
