Bummer Camp, a shoegaze/grunge band from Queens, NY, is set to release their sophomore album, 'Fake My Death,' on May 8 via Trash Casual Records. The announcement comes alongside the release of their new single, 'One Bullet,' which is accompanied by a music video directed by multimedia artist Preston Spurlock. The band, originally a solo loop project by Eli Frank, has evolved into a dynamic four-piece, showcasing their growth through previous EPs and their debut album, 'Stuck In A Dream.' With 'Fake My Death,' Bummer Camp aims to delve deeper into emotional themes, transforming inner turmoil into cathartic anthems that resonate with humor and defiance. The album reflects on anxieties and the struggle between wanting to disappear and the will to continue. Eli Frank describes the inspiration behind the album, stating, "Wanna fake my death cause I can’t stomach anything" from the song 'Perfect Storm.' He emphasizes the importance of feeling something, whether good or bad, as a vital part of the human experience. The recording process took place at The Animal Farm studio in New Jersey, where the band adopted a more focused approach compared to their previous home recordings. This shift allowed them to experiment with textures while maintaining a tight timeline. Bummer Camp will perform a hometown show at Gold Sounds in Brooklyn on April 3, ahead of the album's release. The album's tracklist includes songs like 'Don’t Leave,' 'Ocean,' and 'High Water,' showcasing their melodic and emotionally charged sound. RIYL: Milly, Narrow Head, Tigers Jaw, Plight, Balance and Composure
