Sept 6, 2023 - Del Paxton just dropped "Chart Reader" the second single from their upcoming record, Auto Locator, out October 6, 2023 via Topshelf Records, which can be streamed below. The new single, whose origins trace back to a psychedelic dream inspired by Wayfaring Strangers: Cosmic American Music, sees the trio dabbling in emo Americana, even featuring a nod to John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” Such unashamed references abound throughout Auto Locator, which takes further inspiration from bands like Mock Orange, Third Eye Blind, and Jimmy Eat World, all of whose influence is clear on other yet to be released songs from the forthcoming LP, namely “Palpitations” and upcoming third single “Spiritual Gymnastics” which will drop sometime before the album release.
