From what I can tell so far, these guys have been listening to a lot of The 1975! The new album has a huge pop feel in the vein of The Maine and The 1975, while still holding onto to their melodic and hook-laiden emotionally driven pop punk sound. The song In My Arms sounds very similar to She's American by The 1975, while Old Friends sounds like the type of emo ballad The Early November or Yellowcard could've released in the mid 2000s. Overall, the album has a pretty glossy feel, but it's damn catchy and a big step forward in maturity and variety from their previous efforts. Definitely will make for a good fall record!
