M83

Announced on July 22nd, 2026 with a short Instagram note and very little else, I Wrote You a Letter is the tenth M83 album and Anthony Gonzalez's first proper full-length since Fantasy in 2023. It lands September 25th on Other Suns, the label he founded to house his own records.

Gonzalez made it with Joe Berry — his longtime bandmate and a fixture of the M83 live lineup — alongside Clément Libes and Benoit de Villeneuve, who records as Villeneuve and is signed to Other Suns himself. "hello friends. I've been busy working on new music," Gonzalez wrote in the announcement post, promising more information soon.

Nine tracks, and the titles hint at the widescreen mode rather than the ambient one: "Blister Sunrise," "Siren / Behold… Beasts," "Soldiers of Lust." No lead single has been revealed and no release date for one announced, which makes this a rare M83 album reveal with no music attached — the artwork and the tracklist arrived on their own.
