Gritty and melodic alt-punk rock and roll band Neckscars have announced their sophomore LP titled "Unhinged" set for release on August 1, 2025 via Sell The Heart Records (US) and Engineer Records (UK). The album will feature 12 new tracks that show the band leaning into a more diverse sound.
Formed in Downstate, New York in late 2018, Neckscars are Will Romeo (Vox/Guitar), Justin Parish (Guitar/Vox), Colin Harte (Bass), with a rotating cast of drummers. Over the past two decades, the members have been cutting their teeth in the DIY scene and have gathered to form this expansive collaboration. The result is a classic punk rock and roll sound that doesn’t lean too hard on nostalgia and standard formulas. You can hear them echo influences ranging from Seaweed to Dead Boys as they embrace their unbridled enthusiasm.
Neckscars released their debut album Don’t Panic in the Summer of 2021 on Sell The Heart Records (US) & Engineer Records (UK), which was recorded by John Naclerio & Sean-Paul Pillsworth during the pandemic. Following the release, Neckscars have contributed to various compilations including a 4-way split with American Thrills, Tired Radio, and Nightmares For A Week, which was released by Sell The Heart Records, Wiretap Records, Engineer Records, and Rat Terror Records. A 12-inch vinyl split featuring Moonraker/Neckscars was released in the Fall of 2023 offering 3 songs apiece, which was fostered by Sell The Heart Records, Bypolar Records, and Engineer Records (UK).
Now they are back with their best collection of songs to date, showcasing their continued progress in songwriting while continuing their infectious brand of melodic anthemic indie-punk rock and roll.
