Slow Joy

Esteban Flores is the second full-length album from Slow Joy, the Dallas-based project led by New Mexico-born songwriter Esteban Flores. Due August 14, 2026 through MDDN Records, the album pushes Slow Joy’s mix of emo, shoegaze, grunge and alternative rock into a more personal, self-titled statement.

The album’s first released songs include “SLC Punk on an SSRI,” a heavy but tender track built around distorted guitars, forceful drums and airy layered vocals, and “Forget,” which leans into warped guitars and emotionally direct songwriting. Flores described “SLC Punk on an SSRI” as the song that made him feel the album had finally become what he had been chasing for years.

Esteban Flores follows Slow Joy’s 2025 debut album, A Joy So Slow At Times I Don’t Think It’s Coming. The new record contains 11 songs.
