Slowly

Distance

Toronto, Ontario's Slowly, the brainchild of Charlie Berger, combines shoegaze, grunge, 90s influenced alt-rock and dream pop, to create songs that are both dark and uplifting all at once. Seamlessly combining walls of guitars, big melodies, echoing and reverb soaked vocals with big hooks to go along with it, their new LP titled "Distance" is set for release on July 15, 2022 and is sure to turn heads in the nugaze scene. Clearly infuenced by the 90s shoegaze sounds of My Bloody Valentine, Ride, and Swervedriver while also drawing influence from 90s acts like The Smashing Pumpkins, Slowly fit right in with the new crop of bands revitalizing this sound. If you enjoy bands like Nothing, Narrow Head, Chastity, Gleemer, Tennis System and the like, be sure to stream the two new singles below and pre-order the new LP that drops soon.

About the new album, singer/songwriter Charlie Berger had this to say about it: "The songs on this album reflect on the many ways 'distance' has impacted us all over the last few years. I hope these songs might somehow help bring me a little closer to everyone who hears them, even if just for a few moments. I like that idea. It gives me some nice, warm feelies. Also, I like writing songs and sharing them…so there’s that too."
