Slowly

As someone who loves all things 90s shoegaze and 90s influenced heavier alternative rock, emo and grunge, I've been following the music that Slowly has released over the past few years, and have really enjoyed the output from this project. However, after hearing the new singles from the upcoming full length "Distance", I'm quite confident this will be their best material yet. With new singles Planes and Trains and Death of Me from the forthcoming LP, the new songs show continued progress in Charlie Berger's ability t seamlessly combine shoegaze, fuzzed out walls of guitars, big melodies, emotion, and 90s influenced alt-rock/post-grunge, with hooks to go along with it. This is right in the wheelhouse of any fan of the large wave of upcoming nugaze bands, and there is no reason why Slowly shouldn't shoot right to the top of the crop with the right exposure. Very curious to hear how the rest of this release shapes up, but if the new singles are any indication, it should make for an outstanding summer release.
