Grungegaze Newcomers Despire Release Debut Self-Titled EP

Vacaville, California newcomers Despire have released their debut self-titled EP, streaming now on Spotify.

The young four-piece works in the heavier end of grungegaze and shoegaze, pairing wide, distorted guitars and atmospheric vocals with the weight of bands like Fleshwater, Narrow Head, Downward, Trauma Ray, and Deftones.

Written together in the band's garage and released DIY, the EP is an impressive first showing from a teenage band with plenty of potential. It’s also good to see another generation of kids embracing loud guitars again.
