Scarlet House has released his new album Angels today. The 14-track record follows his 2024 mixtape Homecoming and marks his first proper full-length album.

Across Angels, the Charlotte one-man project pushes further into its hazy mix of shoegaze, grunge and atmospheric alternative rock, pairing heavy, washed-out guitars with melodic hooks and a dark, emotionally charged undercurrent. The record traces the rise and unraveling of a relationship, moving through love, nostalgia, emotional dependency and the difficulty of letting go.

If you’re into the darker, dreamier side of Deftones, The Cure and Nirvana, along with the current wave of heavier shoegaze and nu-gaze, Angels is well worth checking out.
