Scarlet House

Angels

Rising one-man shoegaze act Scarlet House has announced his debut album, Angels, out everywhere August 28th. Pre-save and pre-order the album HERE.

The follow-up to his captivating 2024 release, Homecoming, which solidified his place as one of the artists redefining the genre, Angels finds Scarlet House bolder, more reflective, and wearing his heart on his sleeve. The record serves as a deeply introspective exploration of love, loss, memory, and the quiet devastation of change through a genre-blending lens.

Across the album’s 14 tracks, Scarlet House captures the fragile evolution of relationships, from the intoxicating rush of connection on tracks like “With You” and “Fly” to the slow unraveling and complex emotions that surface throughout songs like “Oceans,” “Who We Were,” and “Chemtrails.” Wrapped in hazy guitars, atmospheric production, and no-holds-barred lyricism that feels both intimate and universal, the album leans into themes of nostalgia, emotional dependency, and the fear of letting go, while still finding beauty in fleeting moments. Angels showcases Scarlet House’s signature blend of dark romanticism and expansive, emotionally charged soundscapes, offering a freshman record that feels like replaying memories through a blurred late-night drive.

“Angels is essentially written from the perspective of replaying a relationship in your head after it has ended, start to end,” shares Scarlet House. “It’s a nostalgia trip of everything that comes with the experience of being in love.”

Scarlet House Shares New Single “Running Out Of Time” From Debut Album Angels

July 29, 2026

Scarlet House has shared his new single “Running Out Of Time”, the latest preview of his debut album Angels, out August 28.

The track pushes the Charlotte one-man shoegaze act toward brighter guitars and a cathartic, bittersweet chorus, while still holding onto the dark romantic pull that has run through his recent material. It lands in the middle stretch of Angels, where Scarlet House frames a relationship around the uneasy feeling of knowing something is slipping away.

“There’s a common theme among these middle few songs of impending doom in the relationship,” Scarlet House says of the single. “Just holding onto something that you know you need to let go of.”

Angels follows Scarlet House’s 2024 release Homecoming and expands on his mix of hazy guitars, atmospheric production, and emotionally direct songwriting. The 14-track album also includes previous single “Cherish,” along with songs such as “With You,” “Fly,” “Oceans,” “Who We Were,” and “Chemtrails.”
