Teenage Fanclub have shared “There Was You,” the latest single from their forthcoming 13th studio album Do Not Dare To Dream, due October 9 via Merge Records. The album opener moves on a waltz rhythm with warm guitars and an instantly singable melody, framing the song as a classic “lost but now I’m found” moment.

“There Was You” follows lead single “Day In The Sun” and arrives with a new music video. Do Not Dare To Dream was recorded at Black Bay Studio on the remote Scottish island of Great Bernera and continues the band’s long-running mix of melodic guitars, warm harmonies and reflective songwriting.
