Devereux Scales are a five-piece from El Cerrito, California, assembled out of a couple of decades of East Bay band history — Fake French, Passing Lanes, Geisha Boys, and LA's George Glass. Guitarists Matt Lavin and Jeremy Nunes trade vocals over reverb-heavy guitars and MicroKorg synth, landing somewhere between Slowdive's drift and the jangle of the old 4AD and Creation rosters. Their second album, Drain to Live, arrived in March 2026.
