Harrison Gordon Release Sophomore LP BLISS via Hopeless Records

Illinois emo/punk band Harrison Gordon have released their sophomore LP BLISS today via Hopeless Records. The 11-track record follows 2023’s The Yuppies Are Winning and 2025’s Spring Break! EP, and marks the band’s first full-length for the label.

Built around the collision of punk urgency, emo vulnerability and the scrappy DIY energy that helped the band break out, BLISS digs into self-doubt, anxiety, disconnection and the messy search for something that actually feels fulfilling. Recent singles “Pretty,” “Not Working! Not Working!” and “Like Me Less” offered an early look at the record, while this week’s focus track “Sight of Blood” pushes deeper into its themes of regret and confronting what — and who — has been lost along the way.

Harrison Gordon have grown from a pandemic-era solo project into a full band built on basement shows, viral momentum and increasingly bigger stages, but BLISS keeps the rough edges intact. The band will spend the fall on the road supporting Mom Jeans alongside a run of select headline and album-release shows.

Harrison Gordon Share New Single “Like Me Less” from Forthcoming LP

Today, the Illinois-raised, punk rock band Harrison Gordon has released the visceral, self-deprecating track, “Like Me Less” with Hopeless Records. Directed by Tades Sanville of Hot Mulligan and Alex Scalzo-Brown, the music video follows the band into a doctor's office as Harrison's face is reworked and distorted - a body-horror visual metaphor for the song's themes of self-loathing and projection. You can watch the video below. This release follows the announcement of their forthcoming record, BLISS, set for release on September 4th.

Harrison Gordon shares their thoughts on the new single below:

“’Like Me Less’ is about having issues with yourself, and projecting those problems on to other people. ‘Whatever black mold breeding and spreading over your soul needs to stay dormant and unaddressed if you hope to keep anyone around.’ It was written about how it felt to go through a depressive episode while living with another person who was operating completely fine, ‘No one knows me, I barely know me, and that’s the way it oughta be’”

Previous singles off their upcoming record include the raw and lyrically self-aware “Pretty” and the infectious, tongue-in-cheek track, “Not Working! Not Working!”
