Harrison Gordon

Bliss

Fresh off the news of their signing to Hopeless Records, the Illinois-raised, punk rock band Harrison Gordon has announced their forthcoming record BLISS set for release on September 4th. Today, they released their second single off the new LP “Not Working! Not Working!” with an accompanying music video.

Harrison Gordon shares their thoughts on the new single below:

“’Not Working! Not Working!’ was originally written to talk about my old experience working in food service and how I wasted a lot of my youth at a minimum wage job dealing with tons of bullshit. I think now the track is more so about my own relationship to capitalism, especially pursuing the band as my job now. There’s always this push to do more, any time I’m doing something for myself, like working out, seeing friends and family, or engaging in any of my hobbies there’s this creeping sense of dread that I’m falling behind.Being alive is like 500 times more expensive than it was for our parents and most of the people my age I know couldn’t even fathom buying a home. Grindset and side hustle culture has polluted us into thinking we should all be content creators and entrepreneurs. I don’t want that! I don’t want to be a fucking small business owner! I want to put a 6 pack down and rewatch movies I know I don’t like, not ‘hop on a quick call.’”

Last month, the band released their first single off the new record, “Pretty,” a track that is both raw and lyrically self-aware. It takes a sharp look at screen addiction and the growing tendency to replace real human connection with the constant dopamine loop of algorithm-driven content.

Even as the band has graduated to larger stages alongside State Champs, Hot Mulligan, and Arm's Length, their DNA remains rooted in the DIY scene where they built their reputation. Their songs are built for catharsis and connection with shout-along anthems and big hooks that feel as communal as they do personal. They turn anxiety, depression, and frustration into something loud, messy, and unifying. It’s music that thrives in motion, whether that be sweaty rooms, blown-out speakers, or crowds screaming every word back to them.

Sitting at the intersection of classic punk urgency and present-day emo vulnerability, the new record boasts a total of eleven tracks.

RIYL: Hot Mulligan, Joyce Manor, Ben Quad, Free Throw, Kerosene Heights

Harrison Gordon Share New Single “Like Me Less” from Forthcoming LP

July 23, 2026

Today, the Illinois-raised, punk rock band Harrison Gordon has released the visceral, self-deprecating track, “Like Me Less” with Hopeless Records. Directed by Tades Sanville of Hot Mulligan and Alex Scalzo-Brown, the music video follows the band into a doctor's office as Harrison's face is reworked and distorted - a body-horror visual metaphor for the song's themes of self-loathing and projection. You can watch the video below. This release follows the announcement of their forthcoming record, BLISS, set for release on September 4th.

Harrison Gordon shares their thoughts on the new single below:

“’Like Me Less’ is about having issues with yourself, and projecting those problems on to other people. ‘Whatever black mold breeding and spreading over your soul needs to stay dormant and unaddressed if you hope to keep anyone around.’ It was written about how it felt to go through a depressive episode while living with another person who was operating completely fine, ‘No one knows me, I barely know me, and that’s the way it oughta be’”

Previous singles off their upcoming record include the raw and lyrically self-aware “Pretty” and the infectious, tongue-in-cheek track, “Not Working! Not Working!”
