3 Dollars

Plus Tax

Plus Tax is the debut EP from Hoboken, New Jersey’s 3 Dollars, arriving July 10, 2026 through Smartpunk Records. Built from the band’s scrappy, high-energy emo-punk foundation, the five-track release leans into sharp melodies, hooky riffs, and the kind of raw emotion that made early singles like “The Last Thing I Remember” and “Like I Said I Would (Dylan’s Song)” stand out beyond their local scene.

The EP was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Connor Priest at Timber Studios, whose credits include Alex G and Tonks. The band pulls from Title Fight, The Replacements, One Step Closer, and Anxious, landing somewhere between adolescent immediacy and a nostalgic New Jersey punk feel.

Lead single “Suppressed Memories” moves with urgency and a clear melodic center. Vocalist Arthur Pawley says the song is about being stuck “in limbo,” searching for inspiration to stay on course without getting trapped in past mistakes. The accompanying video was directed and produced by Rio Rosario and captures the band in gritty performance spaces and on a rooftop.
