Take Your Desires for Reality

Vivians’ debut LP, Take Your Desires for Reality, lands November 17 via Sunday Drive Records. The Toronto trio pulls from the Happy Mondays and Primal Scream end of Madchester, mixing big beat and UK rave rhythms with jangle-pop hooks. Dan Darrah and Jacob Hellas layer loops, arpeggiators and Roland synths underneath Leigh Fisk’s rough-edged vocals.

“Steady Eddie” leads the seven-track record, which features contributions from Danielle Clark and was mixed and mastered by Micah Brown. Limited vinyl is available to pre-order from Sunday Drive.

Sunday Drive Records welcomes Vivians, Cherry Pikes and Silica

November 6, 2026

Sunday Drive Records has announced three new signings and November releases from Cherry Pikes, Vivians and Silica.

Swedish alt-rock band Cherry Pikes will release So It Goes… on November 13. The eight-track album draws on the band’s roots in the Swedish hardcore scene. They recorded without a click track and left some of the conversations between takes in the mix, capturing the loose feel of the sessions. Across eight tracks, loud guitars and the absurdities of everyday life come together in a raw, loose sound that captures the band’s genuine emotion and attitude. “724” (feat. Akimbo) is out now alongside a cover of Q Lazzarus’ “Goodbye Horses.” RIYL Pixies, Ovlov, Polvo, Superchunk, and Yuck.

Toronto trio Vivians will release their debut LP, Take Your Desires for Reality, on November 17. The seven songs pull from UK rave, psychedelia, jangle pop and big beat, with pop hooks running through layers of synths, drum machines and loops. Lead single “Steady Eddie” is out now. RIYL Happy Mondays and Primal Scream.

London trio Silica will release their debut LP, Alone in Tow, on November 20. The band came out of London’s hardcore scene and blends the noise and melody of ’90s alternative rock with post-hardcore. Across 11 songs, they use the contrast between London’s concrete and wildlife to explore belonging, anxiety and resilience. Lead single “Myatt’s Song” is out now, with influences including Hum, Farside, Mineral, Supertouch, Catherine Wheel and Quicksand.
