Anberlin Announce New Album CURRENCY, First Full-Length With Matty Mullins on Lead Vocals
August 20, 2026
Anberlin have announced their ninth studio album, CURRENCY, due November 11 via Equal Vision Records. The eleven-track record marks the band’s first full-length release with Matty Mullins as lead vocalist, following his recording debut with Anberlin on two tracks from 2024’s Vega.
Produced by Anberlin alongside Kellen McGregor of Memphis May Fire, CURRENCY draws on previously unfinished material while giving Mullins room to put his own stamp on the band’s next chapter. The album explores heartbreak, loss, addiction, shame and renewal, with announced tracks including “Highstakes” and “Trenches,” the latter featuring Switchfoot.
Along with the album announcement, Anberlin have shared the first single, “NEVERAFTER,” with a music video directed by drummer Nathan Young and Jacob Moniz. Watch it below.
